The troop has a standing tradition of producing Gold Awardees!  Only 5.4% of girls in Girl Scouts earn their Gold Award

Here is a list of our Gold Awardees and their projects from Troop 798!  Click their name to learn more about their projects and see pictures! 

2004–Leea Logston

Planned, organized and foster child sibling reunion for more than 60 siblings separated in foster care. They were reunited during a weekend retreat that aims to strengthen family bonds.

2004–Whitney Green




Beautify the Del City 5. Whitney did projects at each of the elementary schools in Del City. The projects included painting playground equipment, picking up trash, painting a line for the bus line, getting a bench for the front entrance, and purchasing school supplies.

2010-Katie Williamson

Built a bird-watching wall at Lake Thunderbird State Park after talking with the park naturalist about what was needed in the park. The wall is an interactive element for children, allowing them to observe wildlife without scaring the animals. She also held a free wildlife workshop at the local library. Girl Scouts who attended earned a wildlife conservation patch.

2010-Emily Schwind

Supplied Lake Thunderbird State Park with 24 birdhouses and four birdfeeders. She built 10 nesting boxes and planted blackberry and holly bushes around the lake’s nature center. She also conducted a workshop for children to teach them about the lake’s wildlife.

2012-Jessica Beedle

Chose to do her project on informing her community about different organizations within the community. Organizations such as American Red Cross, Sydney Smiles Foundation, OK Kid's Korral, and International Order of the Rainbow participated in an information fair at the Moore Public Library.

2012-Amelia Dethloff

Did a series of projects with a theme of “Giving Back to Scouts,” including organizing a career fair, putting up flag poles at the John Nichols Scout Ranch, helping Cub Scouts earn their citizenship belt loop, handing out forms for people to become registered voters and teaching people how to handle an American flag properly.

2013-Emily Wiley

Organized 6 months of activities for a Nursing Home in Norman Oklahoma and received commitments from organizations to continue the activities on an annual basis.

2013-Morgan Patton

Sew in Love – Connected a timeless skill with an identifiable need to provide chemotherapy patients at the OU Children’s Hospital with hats.  She held dewing classes with the main purpose of making the ats for donation.  In the end, 66 hats were delivered to the OU Children’s Hospital.

2014-Samantha Mas

The project was entitled Stay Afloat, addressed the issue of unsafe water activities and the number of deaths due to drowning. By creating a life jacket system for Fort Cobb Lake, Mas hopes that people can safely enjoy a day at the lake with their families and friends. Mas asked for donations in the form of life jackets, built two life jacket loaner stations, and created awareness of the issue through newspaper articles. 

2015-Madison Coston

She saw the devastation of the May 20th tornado first hand. Some of her friends were without homes or couldn’t even find where their homes once stood. Her project involved painting house numbers on the curbs in low income areas and providing households with Family Emergency Plan packets to use in case of another emergency. 

2015-Jennifer Lopez

Focused her project on a restoration of the worship center at Rock Creek Christian Camp. She restored all of the pews, which had been weathered over time, built birdhouses throughout the camp grounds, and restored camp signs. She hopes that her project will inspire others to do the same at their place of worship. 

2015-Cara Williamson

Volley with SKIL (Supporting Kids in Independent Living) – Hosted a Volleyball Tournament where the proceeds went to help the local Independent Living center for homeless teens in the Oklahoma City Metro Area.  The proceeds restock the teens pantries and bought supplies for the Prom being held for the teens.  In addition she made blankets for the teens.

2017-Pamela Cross

End the Great Escape - Worked with Wild Care Oklahoma to educate the community on transportation of wild animals by creating and distributing flyers to the community organizations and veterinarians offices. Held workshops for fellow scouts to also educate them about wildlife and how to safely transport them.  She also created cages for baby animals for Wild Care of Oklahoma.

2023-Olivia MartinNo Worries STEM - Collaborated with TEAM OKC to organize a robotic and STEM badge camp at the Oklahoma Science Museum, aiming to address the lack of STEM activities for children and reduce anxiety associated with these subjects.  Through workshops and hands-on experiences, Oliva empowered girls to earn robotics badges and engage in STEM learning.  Her goal was to increase awareness of STEM fields and foster a positive attitude towards them among participants. 
2024 - Katherine Stockstill

Creating a Space for Everyone -Built a sensory room for the special education students at Heritage Trails Elementary School in Moore.
